The Australia-China Charity Mid-Autumn Festival Dinner was held grandly at the Sydney Town Hall, Australia

On September 15, the “Zen Heart, Full Moon, Charity Together – Australia-China Charitable Mid-Autumn Gala” took place at Sydney Town Hall, hosted by the Australia-China Charity Foundation. This extraordinary event aimed to blend culture with philanthropy, fostering goodwill and nurturing connections between the Australian and Chinese communities.

Attending the gala were notable guests including Consuls Hu Yang and Chen Muhua from the Chinese Consulate in Sydney, New South Wales MP Tim James, Sydney’s Deputy Mayor Guo Yaowen, along with various figures from politics, business, the arts, and the diaspora. Together, they embraced an evening filled with compassion and hope.

The gala successfully united charitable efforts while showcasing a stunning array of cultural performances. The festivities kicked off with traditional lion dancing, followed by captivating erhu renditions of “Step by Step Blooming Lotus” and “Erhu Suite,” which showcased the beauty of Chinese musical instruments. The children’s performance, “Dunhuang Dance,” along with “Lotus Drum and Yue Songs,” added a classic touch, captivating the audience. The evening was further enriched by performances on the guzheng, including “Wishing You Long Lasting Happiness” and “Whispers of the Bamboo Tower,” which drew enthusiastic applause. A highlight of the night was an impressive Shaolin kung fu demonstration by the Shaolin Ocean Association and Qinglong Martial Arts School, illustrating the strength and grace of Chinese martial arts.

A significant aspect of the event was the charity auction, where guests eagerly participated and generously contributed. The gala also honored notable philanthropists with the “Heartfelt Partnership” and “Charity Star Awards,” recognizing individuals and organizations that have made remarkable impacts in charitable work.
